Sonoma Oaks: Points of View
Sonoma Oaks: Points of View is a follow-up to Catch & Release, Hugh's unusual 2011 gallery show at Slaughterhouse Space in Healdsburg. Continuing the theme of extracting elements from nature to observe them in isolation, the new show examines elements of Sonoma's oak landscape from many angles. A six-channel soundscape drawn from hundreds of hours of recording in oak habitat rotates through the gallery space. Multiple video screens show time-lapse, very high-frame rate, low-altitude aerial and other altered presentations of the shapes, shadows and textures of the oak tree.
The gallery show was on view from June 9-Sep 9, 2012, at the Sonoma County Museum in downtown Santa Rosa.

Other work included the OakText animations: Part 1 and Part 2.
